I got few minutes and just wanted to share a couple of useful tips with you. The tip number 1 is showing why centerline band labels shows wrong data that looks like it’s using metric units while the rest of the drawing is in feet. Situation looks like in the figure. Grid shows range between 90–110 feet while band label shows 33.15:
- Right-click on the section you want to modify and choose Section View Properties
- In Section View Properties > Bands tab edit style you use
- Select Centerline and click on Compose label
- In Contents field click on [...] to open Text Component Editor
- Select all on the right and delete
- Under Properties select Section1 Elevation and change Units from meter to foot
- Do the same for Section2 Elevation
- OK all and see your changes
Tip number 2. When a PDF file is created from a drawing with a special symbols such as degree symbol used in a multi-line object in the font type such as Arial fonts, an error message occurs when the PDF is opened stating: "Cannot find or create the font ‘<Fontname>' Some characters may not display or print correctly." And the line with the special symbol is all messed up in the PDF.
- Select DWG to PDF.pc3 from Plot dialog and select Properties
- In the Device and Documents Settings select Custom Properties and click on Custom Properties button
- In DWG to PDF Properties select Capture All and OK until you close all dialogs
- You may choose to save your new .pc3 file as new file or just to update your existing one
