You are coming down the home stretch with your design, you have broke out your Civil Objects into different drawings, referencing them into your main drawing. Everything is as it should be and you are feeling good about it. You should be. You have set up your project to maximize drawing performance, and minimize drawing size. Now the time has come to cut your sections in your Sections drawing, however you notice that on some of the sections, the corridor data seems to be missing. No need to fret, the answer is easier than one may think.
In this particular situation, this will occur in the Sections drawing with the corridor brought in as an xref, and the alignments pulled in as a data shortcut. This is due to the frequency of the corridor, specified in that external referenced drawing. The corridor data will only show what has been sampled from that frequency. So for example you have a station 2+69.93, but no corresponding frequency in the corridor parameters, this will need to be added to get the cross sections in your Sections drawing to display correctly.
First we need to open the drawing that contains the corridor, making sure you take note of the sections that are missing the data in the Sections drawing. Upon opening the drawing, you will select the corridor, and select Corridor Properties from the Conceptual Ribbon tab. We are going to select the Parameter tab which contains the corridor frequency information. Select the Region in question and click the ellipsis for the Frequency. This will launch the dialog where we can add this missing corridor stations.
We are going to concentrate on the bottom half of this dialog where we can click the plus (+) button to add our missing stations. From here you can either specify within the drawing or simply type the missing stations in the command line. Since my example is 2+69.93, I opted for the command line entry, which was quick and precise. Repeat the process to add all the missing stations.
After doing so, accept the changes by clicking apply, and OK. Notice in the drawing that these frequency lines have been added to the corridor. Be sure to save the corridor drawing, then switch back to your Sections drawing. A notification will pop up, letting you know that the external reference has changed and a reload is necessary. Go ahead reload, and take a look at those once sad, empty cross sections… They should now be happy, and full of corridor goodness!
