Map 3D 2012 Service Pack 1

SP1 for Map 3D 2012 and Infrastructure Administrator has been released.  Please go to http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=18021295&linkID=9240858 for the downloads for both.

After installing the Map 3D Service Pack, you'll also want the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2012 SP1 Ribbon Hotfix.

Note the installation note for Win7 and Vista users:

It is recommended that you right click the installer and select "Run as Administrator" while installing the service pack. When you apply this service pack while running AutoCAD Map 3D, it is recommended that you do not click the "Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete" option. Instead, close AutoCAD Map 3D manually, and press "Ignore" at the prompt. It is also recommended that you reboot your system after installing the update.

A few highlights from the Map SP:

VECTOR SYMBOLIZATION

� Features which have been invisible are now shown.

� Features in enhanced styles now are selectable.

POINT CLOUD

� Out of memory issue has been solved for point cloud grouped index file generation.

INDUSTRY MODEL

� Enterprise Industry Model FDO Provider can open TB2 documents.

� Invalid intersected features are now able to be detected.

FDO

� Map3D is now stable when attempting to show the schema on a disconnected feature source.

� Map3D is now stable when refreshing the schema in FDO Data Connect.

� Map3D is now stable after working with second drawing using themed SQL data.

 

Finally, the English readme is having some trouble at the moment.  Here's a version I made that should work a little better, but refer to the official one when possible.
