My name is Almas Suljevic and this is my third year with Autodesk Civil Product Support. This relationship between AutoCAD and me was kind of love at the first sight...

In order to finish my degree quicker I took AutoCAD LT class as elective just to get credits. And I liked it and then I finished my first online exercise drawing something that should have looked like Sistine Chapel ceiling. Then I bought my first AutoCAD book and few months down the road got my first CAD related job in the small mechanical engineering company using AutoCAD R13.  This is when I realized how little I knew and how much I had to learn!  My next job was more in line with CAD management which eventually helped me realize that AutoCAD is more than just drafting tool.  Along with that I obtained my IT degree from SHNU and wanted to pursue career in that field….but for some mysterious reason my karma was still stuck with AutoCAD and I decided to give up and just continue being a CAD guy which eventually lead me to Autodesk years later, which I absolutely loved.

I am not kind of guy whose life can fit in a blog post or two, but I’ll try. In my previous life I was a soldier, radio station DJ, restaurant manager, drafter, CAD manager,… As my friend Jason nicely said, I am also married to the love of my life and have two beautiful children. Haris (mini-me) is 6.5 and Hana 4.5 (the only person that can upset me and crack me to laugh so hard in less than a minute. In the little free time I have, I like to read and learn, watch sport, play football (sport unrightfully called soccer in my neighborhood!), cook and do other things as I feel at that moment. But most of all, I like spending time with my family and friends.
