Justin Ziemba, Product Support Specialist
Even from a very young age, I always had an interest in ecology and technology (just ask my Mom about how many pieces of electronics I took apart to “fix”). After debating the Civil Engineering path, I graduated from the University of NH in 1997 with a degree in Water Resources Management, and quickly became a Certified Wetland Scientist. During and after college, I spent about 13 years working for several Land Surveying and Engineering companies. In these positions, my true love was evident not in the desire to be outside, as many Scientists desire, but in using AutoCAD to create my permitting plans and presenting them to clients and planning boards. For the 6 years prior to coming to Autodesk, I worked as a Project Manager. But being a small company, my day-to-day workload was much more hands on with the design work. Wearing many different hats allowed me to work on designing subdivisions, subsurface systems, and environmental permitting.
After awhile I started thinking about a change, and I finally admitted to myself that a career in Wetland Science was not where I wanted to be (something that was not easy to do while still paying the student loans!). Soon after, the door opened here at Autodesk, and I jumped at the opportunity. Coming here has been one of the best decisions of my life! I still walk in every morning with a huge smile on my face because I truely love what I do here. Civil 3D, problem solving, and making people happy... what more could I want?
Outside of work, I am an avid cyclist. I began racing mountain bikes in the mid-90s, and jumped over to road racing in 2000. Soon after, I discovered cyclo-cross and my calendar started to revolve around fall racing. I also enjoy new music (former college dj), computers, tall buildings, and vegan living.
I am a NH native, currently residing in Manchester, with my wife and 5 bicycles.
