- What RSS is, and
- How you can subscribe to our blog content automatically so you don't have to remember to browse over here now and then for a look
For item 1, we'll use a video from a great site called CommonCraft, who provide simple, visual explanations for a lot of different topics.
1 - What is RSS?
2 - How can I subscribe to and review content?
First off, our RSS feed is http://feeds2.feedburner.com/beingcivil
Feed Readers
There are many ways to subscribe, the latter part of the video above also talks about using feed readers like Google Reader, Bloglines, etc. (there are many out there). But here are a few more possibilities for you:
Within Civil 3D:
In 2010
The RSS feed is already set up for you by default! Just click the Communication Center icon and read away - other Autodesk Civil blogs also included.
Pre-2010
The Communication Center allows you to subscribe to any desired RSS feeds, you can then check them from within the product. Click on the InfoCenter icon up top to see currently subscribed Feeds. Select the InfoCenter Settings button shown to add our feed (provided above).
Web Browsers or Outlook:
